Why Thai food is so special

When I went to Thailand and ordered my first meal, the soup was very spicy instead of a normal taste. My mouth was burning for more than an hour. So the first interaction with the most delicious cultural kitchen of the world, Thai food, wasn't that good.


Besides the spicy soup is the traditional Thai food mostly spicy except if you ask it can be normal. The Thai people prefer a well-spiced meal, however it can be sometimes sweet, salty, sour. Their culture can be found in the kitchen, because they use many herbs that we don't use in Europe or we just can't even find them. If you still want to taste these flavors and want to try out the local Thai herbs, you can go and get them in a special Thai store.


If you are not someone who likes the spicy taste and be sure, there is a good chance that something spicy will be on your plate. I will give you a good tip: always order a lot of rice. You may be tired of eating rice if you stay in Asia for a while, but if your mouth is on fire, rice will save your life.


The meals that you are served are also incredibly beautiful. It is the most colorful kitchen in the world, except that I am color blind, it was still beautiful. The chefs in the kitchen don't dress your plates specially, but simply in a bowl, but typical of Thailand is that everything is on the table in different plates, each plate his sort. You share with everyone, so you don't have your own plate and that makes eating more fun and social.  Eat together & share together.

So remember, when you go to Thailand and you order something delicious. Then first ask if it is not too spicy, because your mouth will be on fire.
